  1. During a viral cold or another, have your immune system, say, busy. If you are exposed to the bacteria that may have superimposed bacterial infection. The virus is inflame the bronchial tubes and resistance of the bacteria could get a grip and cause more problems.
    This is why doctors are sometimes put on an antibiotic, the virus does not (there is nothing they can kill), but to protect itself against bacteria, the opportunistic infection of the body.

  2. I think yes, because if you have a cold or a viral infection, has a large amount of bad bacteria in the body. It is possible that cause bacteria to travel to the lungs to pneumonia or bronchitis.
